Maya POV

The detonator clicked. Nothing happened. Nathan stared at the device, confusion flickering across his face for the first time I'd ever seen. He pressed the button again. Still nothing.

"Looking for these?" Zara materialized behind him, holding a bundle of wires and what looked like detonators. She dropped them on the ground. "Found them about an hour ago. You're not the only one who can plan ahead."
