“Who would have thought the blood orchid was around your neck the whole time,” Caelan chuckled while everyone at the table laughed. I have never seen his features so relaxed, so beautiful and at peace with everything.

I decided to host a breakfast which was a bit of a celebration. Silver lake and black fire councillors were all present. The venue was right out in the courtyard. The morning sun graced our skin as the sweet scent of food filled our nostrils.
