CAELAN’S POV

The second her gasp of pain filled my ears I spun on my heel. The sight before me left me stunned for only a second before I could jump into action.

Her pupils were gone.

Her body trembled as her conscience slowly slipped away. My arms wrapped around her before she could hit the ground, but her trembling didn’t stop. As a matter of fact, it turned even more violent.

And that was not where the horror ended.

Tears of blood spilled out of her eyes and streamed down her cheeks. ...
