Circe dragged her feet as she reached the edge of the woods that led to Henry’s property. She was afraid to face them all now that she had failed, but she knew she had nowhere else to go. The tears fell automatically and silently down her face. She couldn’t believe that she had failed. She couldn’t believe that the witch refused her.
