It had been six days since Celeste had left. Lucy felt like her nerves were shot and she was losing her mind. She felt so anxious all the time and desperate for Celeste. 

“You need to relax. Obviously, it can’t be too bad because you’re still here,” Noah whispered in class. Lucy tapped her pencil mindlessly on the table, completely oblivious to the many disgruntled stares from classmates. 

“They could have just already taken her off. She could be dead - a pile of ash ...
