We pulled the bundles out of the fire, but the damage was already spreading.

The cabin was small and sealed, the ward stones preventing us from opening windows or doors wide enough to ventilate. The herbs had been burning since before we arrived at least an hour, maybe two and the air was saturated with both compounds. We doused the fire with water from the kitchen, but Wolf's Bane and Heat-Root worked on inhalation, and we'd been breathing the stuff since we walked through the door.
