I’ve just finished an intense Pilates session.

Seated on my mat, I stare at my chat with Alexander, eyes fixed on the top of the chat while pressing a nail on my lip.

He’s online. I can see it.

Yet he’s not opened my chat to acknowledge my messages.

They’re not important; just different variations of saying ‘thank you’ for the 100 roses he sends me every day.

But it’s still unsettling in an annoying way. It feels like I’m the one doing the chasing, not him. ...
