Alexander’s POV

My head is pulsing, my eyes burning from being awake for almost thirty-six hours. It’s been more than ten hours since I last saw and heard from my wife.

I’m curled into a ball on her side of the bed, inhaling her scent on her pillow and consuming a deluge of information on PCOS. I’ve been here all day. What I’m reading cleaves my mind in half, one half stuffed with worry and fear, the other half thinking up solutions and ways to show her she can lean on me.
