Sophia’s POV

The flight has been peaceful so far. Seated in my husband’s lap, my arms curve around his neck, my face is buried in the crook of his neck, and my eyes are closed. All I do is inhale his lovely scent and try not to move for fear of breaking something inside my head—consequences of drinking too much from overexcitement. I should have known and done better than to finish all that wine. But I was very happy last night.
