I sit at the bar with Ben to my right and a young woman to my left.

The bar is loud and crowded.

I lean forward and grab my drink.

Slowly, I turn my baseball cap around and tug it low.

"You come here often?"

I can see the young woman out of the corner of my eye looking in my direction as she talks. I ignore her.

Ben hits my arm.

My elbow slides off the counter.
