Hunter's POV

"I had planned on calling them after we met with your parents, but then with everything with the police and Paulo…" I shrugged.

I hit call, putting the phone on speaker so Grace could hear. It rang twice before my mother's voice filled the air, warm and concerned.

"Hunter, darling, how are you?"

"I'm good, Mom." I reached for Grace's hand. "Grace is here with me. We wanted to talk to you and Dad about something."
