I had been scared by series of things as a child, most of them fictional like the bougie man, or the monster in my closet.

Others were things I created in my mind to constrict myself, like failure of not fitting in, not being loved.

I had thought all those things were actual fears that crippled one's development. Then phobias being the real icing to the cake...
