It’s the morning of the operation, and I head out with Jerry to the hospital. The morning is cold, the skies cloudy. My heart beats a little fast. The thought of doing something so huge for a stranger fills my head.

“Are you sure about this?” Jerry asks politely. I nod. Isolation isn’t the answer. The young lady is in need, and I’m in a position to help her. Mom would be proud of me for helping other people who can’t help themselves.
