On the next day, the morning dawned beautifully, as it usually did in their quiet village. The sun's soft golden light stretched across the sky, touching the trees and the small houses with a warm, gentle glow. The air was fresh and filled with the faint scent of dew and the soft, sweet aroma of the earth waking up. Birds chirped quietly from the treetops, and the leaves of the surrounding trees rustled lightly in the calm breeze. Amina woke up feeling happy and full of energy, her body stretching slowly as she rose from her bed. She yawned softly, her arms reaching high above her head, feeling the comfort of her blankets and the soft morning light spilling into her room.
After a few moments, she decided to step outside. The air was cool against her skin, and the calmness of the village greeted her warmly. The paths were quiet, the nearby fields glimmered with morning dew, and only a few villagers were beginning their daily routines. Amina inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with the fresh air, and smiled, enjoying the stillness of the morning. After taking in the peaceful surroundings, she returned inside and went to meet her mother.
"Good morning, Mom," Amina greeted, her voice cheerful and bright.
"Good morning, Amina. How was your night?" her mother replied warmly, turning toward her with a soft smile.
"Just fine," Amina said, her eyes shining with happiness. She paused for a moment before asking, "Where is Dad? Is he still sleeping?"
Her mother shook her head gently. "No, your father went out earlier. He will be back soon," she explained, her voice calm and reassuring.
Amina nodded, but she felt a little curious and restless. She went outside to complete her daily chores, sweeping the yard carefully and tidying up the small garden near the house. She watered the plants, arranging the small flowers with care, and checked that everything around the house was in order. After finishing, she returned inside, still full of energy and eagerness for the day ahead.
"Mom, may I have breakfast now?" she asked, her tone a mixture of excitement and anticipation.
Her mother looked surprised, her eyes widening slightly. "So early? Requesting breakfast at this hour? Be patient, Amina. When your father comes back, we will all eat together. That way, we can enjoy it as a family."
"Okay, I will wait," Amina replied, nodding. Then, with a playful grin, she added, "But you know, it's called breakfast. Maybe you should ask me first about it."
Her mother laughed, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "You little girl! Always joking. I understand, but let's wait for your father. He'll be back soon, and then we can all have breakfast together."
Not long after, the familiar sound of footsteps announced her father's return. He walked briskly into the yard, his movements purposeful as he carried a few things he had brought with him. He was busy, walking up and down, checking and arranging what he had, clearly focused on completing his tasks.
Amina's mother called to him, "You should eat now before you take your leave."
Amina's eyes widened in surprise. "Leave? Is Dad traveling today?"
Her father didn't respond immediately, still attending to his tasks. Her mother clarified, "Yes, your father is traveling. That's what I meant. He wants to leave soon, but we should wait a little so that when he comes back, we can all sit down together and have breakfast."
Amina was still surprised. "Well, Dad didn't tell me he was going to travel. When he comes back, I will ask him to explain everything properly. He should have told me earlier, but I understand now. I will just wait. He is busy, trying to pack and arrange everything before he leaves."
Finally, her father came over to her, speaking gently. "Amina, I overheard what you said. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but I will be traveling today. I want to go and visit my friends in the nearby village. I will return after a few days. Take care of the remaining horses; I will take the white one with me."
"Okay, I heard you," Amina replied respectfully, nodding.
Her mother then said, "Come, Amina, let's have breakfast now."
"Oh! I almost forgot," Amina added, laughing lightly. Together, the three of them sat down to eat. The aroma of warm food filled the kitchen, and the sunlight streamed through the windows, adding a gentle warmth to the room. They ate slowly, enjoying the flavors of their meal, talking quietly, and sharing small smiles and laughter.
After breakfast, her father prepared to leave. Amina stood up and said, " goodbye."
Her father smiled warmly at her. "All right. Take care of yourself, and always obey your mother. Don't walk around too much while I'm gone. I'll be back in a few days."
"Okay, Dad. Goodbye," Amina replied. She waved at him, feeling a mix of happiness for his journey and care for his safety.
Her father then walked to the backyard, mounted the white horse, and carefully guided it out of the yard. He ensured the horse was steady and calm, then set off toward the village where his friends awaited. Amina and her mother watched him go, their eyes following him until he was a small figure in the distance.
Once he had gone, Amina and her mother returned inside. They sat together, sharing a quiet moment of comfort and warmth. Her mother smiled at her daughter, brushing a loose strand of hair from Amina's face. "Your father is on his way now. It's good that he's going safely. Now, my little one, what will you do for the rest of the morning?"
"I think I'll stay home, Mom. Maybe do a few small chores and enjoy the morning," Amina replied.
Her mother nodded. "Yes, that's wise. Stay close and be careful, and enjoy the calm morning. Your father will be back soon, and then we will all be together again."
They shared a few more jokes and soft laughter, enjoying the peaceful start to the day. The sunlight continued to fill the room, casting a warm glow across the floor and walls. Amina felt happy and content, her heart light, appreciating the simple joys of life-time with her mother, a safe and caring home, and the knowledge that her father was traveling with care.
The morning passed slowly and peacefully. Amina helped her mother with small household tasks, arranging the kitchen, checking on the garden, and making sure everything was tidy. Each small chore made her feel useful and responsible. She paused often to look outside, imagining her father riding the white horse through the village paths, thinking about him traveling safely and returning soon.
Finally, Amina sat by the window for a while, watching the sunlight dance on the ground and listening to the quiet sounds of the village. She felt calm and happy, enjoying the stillness of the day and the comfort of her home. She knew that although her father was away, the love and warmth of her family remained with her, keeping her cheerful and secure.
By late morning, the sun had climbed higher, bathing the village in bright, golden light. Amina's mother smiled at her daughter. "I'm glad you are enjoying the morning. Stay close to the house, and we'll wait for your father to return safely."
Amina nodded, a small smile on her face. "Yes, Mom. I'll be careful. I'll help with the chores and enjoy the morning quietly."
They shared a few more laughs and gentle jokes as they worked around the house together. The morning continued peacefully, a perfect start to a new day.
And so, the morning passed with warmth, laughter, and the quiet rhythm of home, as Amina and her mother waited patiently, thinking of her father traveling safely on his journey, and preparing to welcome him back in a few days.
