The arrival of my mum was an automatic ticket to a good life. I ran into Axel a couple of times in the day and he didn't utter a word to me. It felt so good to be free again. It felt so good to live without panic attacks and abuse.

I had almost forgotten what it felt like to have maids attend to my needs. My heart skipped when there was a knock on my door by 6pm. I did a quick check of what the problem could be before I eventually answered.
