I walked up the stairs, headed to my mum's room. As soon as I walked in, I leaned into her embrace. We went over to the bed and sat down. One of the things I missed was my mum giving me head rubs. As soon as she started rubbing my head, I dozed off.

I woke up an hour later to find her staring at me.

"Mum," I mumbled and placed my head on her thighs.

"My princess. It seems you missed my head rubs," she said, pushing my hair off my face.
