“You’ll see,” she said cheerfully, almost bouncing on her feet as she walked around the warehouse. “There’s no point in me spoiling the surprise ahead of time.”

Surprise.

I didn’t like the sound of that and I definitely didn’t like the way Sophia was watching me like I was some weird animal that she was about to dissect in an experiment.
