Elena POV

I turned over on my back, flinging an arm over my face to hide from the sunlight painfully streaming into my room.

When that didn’t work, I tried a pillow next. Didn’t work either.

I threw the covers off and stretched in bed, my mouth opened in a yawn that was wide enough to swallow a whole cow. The little pops as I stretched tempted me to slide back under the covers and try going back to sleep.

Contrary to my expectations, I ended up sleeping that night, or morning.
