Abby wasn’t herself in the morning. She still seemed like she was upset from the night before with the so-called friends from high school. Most of the night, she had spent tossing and turning in her sleep.

As soon as we had gotten home, I had removed her make-up and told her how beautiful she was without it. She had told me how she had tried to tell them that she didn’t need it, but they had insisted anyway.
