ABIGAIL’S POV

I walked down the hallway and to the guest room where John was staying. There was going to be a get together happening at the Square Dance Hall and we were going. I just had to find out if John wanted to join us or not.

I leaned against the wall and knocked on my door, hearing him get up from a creaking old chair. I remembered that chair. The desk still carried memories with it. I had begged Mama to get rid of the damn thing, but she hadn’t.
