I had spent a sh*t ton of money on light weight white fabric, what they called fairy lights, these metal ring light fixtures, and white and lavender wisterias to dress up the barn. It had to be perfect. I wanted to spoil Abby and to surprise her.

Mary, Abby’s mom, walked up to me as I was setting up the wooden arch that would have fabric draped from it.
