“I’ve made the necessary arrangements,” Ren whispered to me.

My second sat down next to me in the neutral zone brownstone. The place I had purchased for this very reason. The place the last time I stood in here only two nights ago held so many amazing memories just one floor above. That night felt decades old. I felt like a completely different man, aged beyond my years. Broken beyond repair.
