Rissa’s POV

The room does not feel real after Teresa leaves.

The silence she leaves behind is worse than the threat itself.

I stand motionless near the center of the underground chamber, my pulse still uneven from the fight, from the power, from the look in her eyes before she disappeared into the dark corridor.

She knew.

Not everything.

But enough.

Mark closes the heavy iron door behind us and slides the lock into place. The sound echoes through the chamber.

Final.
