As soon as I leave the house, I find a fancy car with the Scottish flags flying in front and two men dressed in black waiting just outside the entrance.

I look at them, give them a quiet salute and hurry away. As soon as I am out of their sight, I begin to walk more briskly, almost running.

I don't know why, but I feel like I've been saved from a big trouble. My heart is pounding. My senses are alert, sensitive from a lifetime of having to tread carefully. ...
