I woke the next morning, groggy and alone. I hadn't slept well at all and my body was screaming at me. 

Yet again, Cohen and I had slept in the same bed. And again, I'd spent the night on my side stiff and staring at the wall until the early hours when exhaustion had finally taken hold.
