I have made up my mind.

Alicia's Pov

I packed my bag carefully, selecting what I needed for my stay In Burning Fang pack, overwhelmed with confidence that I would not be involved with Theo.

Yet I was with more morale due to the fact that my parents fully supported my decision though it would have an effect on our pack's economy.

"Are you ready, Miss?" Beta Darius said by the door. What he meant was to tell me that it was time to leave.

I had told him earlier that he would drive me to the park's border and that was the third time that he would come by. Surely, I had to leave now.

"There is no point in dwelling here anymore," I answered, "Can you help me with these?" I asked as I blinked helplessly with luggages that made my hands full. I shouldn’t take them all at once but they weren't willing to let me leave them behind.

"Sure, miss." He rushed in, he was obviously waiting for me to ask him to do that. He took the luggages and rushed outside the room..

I got to where the car was parked and got in, navigating to see if anyone was around to bid me farewell. I guessed the farewell my parents had bid me earlier was enough. They couldn't bear to watch me leave, I could tell it was a difficult decision for them but they did it all for me.

"Alpha Brett and Luna Beth are in a meeting so they will not be able to come." The Beta said, noticing my curiosity.

"Let's leave," I said as I rested my back.

The silent journey with gentle music being played in the car reminded me of my encounter with Williams. His physique was killing. And his voice? It was appeasing.

The thought of that made my heartbeat accelerate.

What were you thinking, Alicia?

"He is the wolf king of North America, not just anyone," I muttered absentmindedly.

"What did you say, Miss?" Beta Darius asked, cutting off my fantasy and bringing me to my reality in the backseat of the car. "I can't hear you, Miss." He said as he reduced the volume of the music, bending his neck to allow his ear to receive my sound wave, as if that made a difference.

"Never mind," I answered as he increased the volume of the music, nodding to the rhythm. After all, the music was played for his sake not mine. I could see him smiling softly as we drew closer to the border.

I closed my eyes and reminisced on my plans but I hadn't seen any way forward, but surely something new would come up for me.

"Here we are, Miss Alicia," Beta Darius said as he had the car decelerated, parking at the park's border. He rushed down and got my luggages, opening the door gently, giving me pleasure.

"Here are your luggages." He said happily as he handed my luggages over to me, smiling softly.

He got into the car, ignited almost immediately waving as he drove off leaving me there with my destination left to be faced.

I walked at the river bank and was about to cross when I saw this female figure turning her back to me, it was a familiar one.

"You're finally here," Dahila said as she turned to face me, that cleared my curiosity but aroused my anxiousness.

What more did she want? I was leaving for her sake. I wasn't ready for any solo drama on my leave. She must have learnt that I was leaving today and waited for me here.

"Why are you here?" I asked not because I cared, but I was eager to get her out of my sight.

"Can you please take Theo back?" She asked, forming teary eyes again. That was the face she had when Theo first brought her to me before she manipulated her way through. I got disgusted looking into her eyes.

"I promise to leave you and Theo. I would rather die than harm his pack," She said as she wiped her fake tears with palm. Her melodramatic performance was nauseating.

"Do you think I don't know your plans? You know clearly that an Alpha cannot reject his second chance mate, all you want is to be his Luna. Do you think I can't see through your desperation?" I imagined saying that to her.

"I will not bother you anymore," she said with tears running down her round face.

I scoffed. "You can have Theo to yourself, Dahila. I will never take him back from you," I bluntly said. "I promise not to even draw closer to your abode, not to talk of taking him back from you," I completed as I tried to walk past her.

"Please don't leave, Alicia. Theo really loves you and I know you also love him, I would not want to be the cause of the downfall of your love." She said, holding my hand.

Love? She shouldn't have brought up the word love when we both know Theo didn't love me. All he needed me for was just to strengthen his pack using me as a figure of his Luna. Nothing more.

As for my love for Theo, it all ended in that fire that he made with his hands, I would never bat an eye for him anymore.

"I have made up my mind, Dahila," I said as I released my hand from the soft grip of hers.

As I turned to leave, a piercing scream echoed behind me. Whipping around, I saw Dahila falling into the river. Before I could react, Theo stormed in out of nowhere.

"You think I don't know that you orchestrated all of this just to get my attention? You want me to yourself only and now you even attempted to murder Dahila!" He said as he stared ferociously at me.

His delusional accusation sent white-hot rage coursing through me. Without hesitation, I slapped him across the face. He raised his hand in anger, ready to strike back.

Just then, a tall figure stepped between us.

"Williams," I muttered.
