Levi listened to what his mother just said to Felicity. He instinctively draped an arm around her and pulled her closer. A strange need to just take her away came over him, but he had to remember this wasn’t real. Felicity was a grieving widow, and her husband was still very much in her heart. Levi meant it when he said that nothing would happen to her, no matter what. He had to remind himself that he chose her because she wouldn’t get attached to him.
