“My baby”, I said,as Lala walked closer to us,we had our normal group hug.

“I don't really feel like going to school today”,Mira mourned.

“We just resumed yesterday,Mira”,said Rose,with a silly smile.

“Oh,then I take back my sentence”,said Mira.

“Hahahahahaha”,we all laughed,and started walking to the junction to get a bike.

“Are you okay?,Lala”, I asked Lala,tapping her hand,as we walked slowly behind,while Mira and Rose were trying to catch a bike.

She looked at me for a while and smiled.and right then I knew something was wrong.

“Yea,I am fine,but the bike man is not”,she said, pointing ahead.she is trying to change the subject,I see.

I looked forward.

Mira was pricing too low for a ride,just like always.

“Malam,you say how much?,five hundred naira,just two people?,na only two hundred naira I get oo”.she was saying in pigin.

“Hahahahahaha,Mira stop wasting time pricing,let's just get going”,said Rose,while laughing.

“Okay,Malam three hundred naira last”,said Mira.still trying to get a discount.

“Okay,climb”,the bike man finally agreed.

“see,I just saved us two hundred naira”,Mira said with her chest pushed out,like she made two hundred million instead.

Hahahahahaha”,we all laughed.

“What about you?,you go gree for three hundred?”,Mira said, referring to the second bike man,who in response nodded.

“Okay ladies,hop on”,Mira said.we got on the bikes and were driven to school.

“Babe”,Mira said as she walked to Peter and gave him a kiss.

Seeing them like that wiped out all of our smiles.leaving our faces serious.

Hello baby”,Peter said,after the kiss,trying to sound romantic.

Looking at his face made me feel disgusting,and I am sure the Lala and Rose felt thesame.

“Ewwee”,the three of us said in unison.

He looked at us and after contemplating he said.

“hello ladies”,I just knew he wanted us to react.

“Mtchwwww”,Lara hissed and walked away.well we followed her,hmph,if he thinks we will be nice because Mira is there,then he is dreaming.

"yah,wassup with Lala today",Rose asked as we walked to class,we were a little bit further from Lala who was ahead.

"she is fine,I don't see anything wrong with her",I told her,to avoid her getting worried.

"girl, Lala's eyes were red when we met earlier and since I know you to be a good observer,i am sure you saw it too,and besides I saw that you both shared some few words,when we were at the junction,so start speaking",she said,while giving me the "don't you dare lie to me"look.

"fine,is she okay?,no,do I know why?,no","I asked and she refused to say, I can't force words out of her",I said in one breath.but as soon as i saw her worried face,i regretted telling her,Rose always overthink situations.

"What should we do?, I don't like that she is hiding her pains",Rose said worriedly.

"don't worry she will be fine",I said as we walked a little fast to catch up with Lala.
