Introduction
Yasmin Jenkins and Caleb have been secretly married for five years, leading separate lives—wild nights, distant days. She believed his coldness was just his nature, thinking that even a heart of stone could eventually be warmed. That is, until she saw the same indifferent man lavish millions on a sweet college student for her birthday, and proudly reveal his new girlfriend to the world. It was then that Yasmin realized how laughable the marriage she’d tried so hard to salvage had been. In five years, all she had was a marriage certificate—nothing else. He, however, had the audacity to say, "The girl is pregnant. I have to give her a proper title." It was then that Yasmin understood—he wasn’t just cold-hearted, he simply didn’t love her. Desperate, she submitted the divorce papers. Caleb gave a mocking smile, "Don't regret it." But everything changed when Yasmin was publicly proposed to by another man, adored and cherished. The once proud and indifferent Caleb panicked and rushed to her, pleading, "Wife, you love me the most, don’t you...?"

Chapter 1 I Miss You

Yasmin Jenkins had just received her pregnancy test results when she saw the news of Caleb Fisher proposing to his new girlfriend.

The screen was buzzing with excitement, fireworks lighting up the atmosphere as people gathered around them, pushing them closer together.

The man extended his arm protectively around the girl, while the girl gently cradled her belly.

“Today is my birthday. Do you have something to say to me?” the girl purred.

“Seeing you, everyone else just seems... average.”

“Well, I have a secret to tell you too...”

The crowd cheered, urging them on.

The girl smiled contentedly, while her husband looked at her with adoration.

She was playfully teasing him, and he was laughing.

After five years of marriage, Yasmin had never seen Caleb this gentle. This was the scene she had once dreamed of, but now it was happening in front of her eyes.

Suddenly, she felt cold in the room, so cold that her teeth started to chatter.

The meal she had spent hours preparing now seemed like a joke.

With the thought that Caleb likely wouldn't be coming back, she packed the cold food away, planning to feed it to the dog the next day.

Around 3 AM, the man who should have been with his young girlfriend returned home.

Yasmin could hear his footsteps and, in the dark room with no lights on, she felt the bed dip slightly as he climbed in behind her.

The man, who had just been with someone else, embraced her from behind, his breath smelling faintly of alcohol.

“I miss you…” he murmured, his voice hushed and low, the last two words barely audible.

Outside, the rain poured relentlessly, and his voice was soft, slurred from the alcohol.

He kissed her ear and neck, sending a tingling warmth through her skin, the affection and tenderness almost overwhelming.

For five years, their relationship had only been physical, and Yasmin knew exactly what he wanted in this moment.

But as she thought about how this embrace had just been shared with another woman, she clenched her teeth and tried to push him away.

But Caleb, holding her waist tightly, was consumed by desire, his body pressing against hers, his breath hot on her neck as he mumbled drunkenly, “Baby, you care about me, don’t you?”

Suddenly, a flash of lightning illuminated the room, casting a harsh light on Yasmin's pale face.

He never called her that.

He was mistaking her for his newly revealed girlfriend, Hailey Sutton.

Yasmin flipped on the light, brightening the room.

“Look closely,” she said coldly, “I’m not Hailey Sutton. If you’re going crazy, go find her.”

Caleb blinked, his half-dazed eyes barely focused on her.

He was taken aback as he realized his mistake.

Yasmin’s face was pale, her expression distant and cold, nothing like Hailey’s youthful, sweet, innocent charm.

In that moment, Yasmin saw the awkwardness in his eyes.

Sobering slightly, Caleb sat up, rubbing his temples.

“Yeah, you're not her,” he muttered.

“She’s clean. Where do you get the confidence to think you can compare?”

Yasmin’s heart clenched in pain, and she took a deep breath.

“Well, if that’s the case, why are you here?”

A normal man would hide his affair, but he had flaunted it for everyone to see.

All he’d done was trample on her face in public.

They were secretly married. It wasn’t that she was dead.

Caleb, sensing the shift in her expression, smirked.

“She’s pregnant. I have to give her a name.”

His cold, indifferent words hit Yasmin like a slap in the face.

His explanation was crystal clear.

She was just a backup, a place for him to relieve himself.

And now, she had to step aside for the woman who was carrying his child.

Yasmin stared at him, rage rising within her but no words came out.

“What if I’m pregnant?” she asked, her voice steady.

Caleb’s face darkened instantly, and his eyes turned cold.

“If that happens, get rid of it. It’s not the first time.”

His words were like ice water thrown over her, freezing her to the core.

Yasmin’s hand gripped the bedsheet tightly, her knuckles white, her breath shallow, and her heart aching.

Five years of marriage, eight years of loving Caleb.

But in his eyes, their marriage had always been a transaction.

When the Jenkins family fell, her father was wronged, her mother sick and bedridden, and her brother disappeared in a car accident.

To Caleb, she was just a woman who climbed into his bed to save her father’s hospital and secure his wealth.

Seeing her silent, Caleb’s eyes darkened.

“You know, as Mrs. Fisher, you’ll have to give it up sooner or later.

Anyone can have my child, except you.”

Even after Caleb stormed out, Yasmin remained on the bed, lost in thought, trying to process his words.

But no matter how hard she thought, all she could hear was the sound of a girl crying over the phone.

Suddenly, her phone rang. She stretched her fingers and answered.

“Director Jenkins, a young pregnant woman just fell, and her situation is complicated. Could you come to the hospital?”
