Fatal Affairs
The Blackwood Family is the most powerful family in Monroe County, Canada.
Their wealth didn't happen overnight; it all began with George Blackwood.
He started out as a mechanic in the early 1980s, coming from a modest background.
Though his parents died when he was very young, before their deaths, they made sure he never lacked anything.
His mother, Fiona Blackwood, was a hairdresser and fashion designer, she was very beautiful, she was in a relationship with Garry Davidson.
Before she found out that he was cheating, she broke up with him. A few months later she fell in love with Carter Blackwood, a very handsome mechanic, but she didn't know she had taken in for Garry.
When she found out, it was very late, it was three months after her break-up with Garry.
She became terrified she didn't know how to tell Carter, so she decided to keep it to herself. Carter had no idea he was very happy that his girlfriend was not pregnant, and a month later he proposed to her.
She gladly accepted. After some months, she gave birth to a very handsome boy. They named him George. They loved him so much.
Carter Blackwood was not just a mechanic, he was a guru when it came to fixing cars, he would buy car parts and damaged cars that no one believed would work again, and fix them with new parts. When George was ten years old, he began to teach him a lot about cars, he literally taught him everything he knew about cars.
George was a very fast learner. His father would bring an abandoned, damaged car. He would ask his son to fix it without his supervision.
George fixed it perfectly well. When his father saw this, he was so proud of his son, though they were an average family, they never went hungry.
One night, George and his parents had just finished watching movies at the cinema on their way home. His dad lost control of the car, and a heavy wind similar to an earthquake was blowing.
A lot of cars were scattering on the road. Some people had already given up the ghost.
“George! George! How many times did I call? You need to listen now! I don't think we are going to survive this! I will let you out of the window.
For your own good! And make sure you have a strong and firm control over your legs when I do”! His mother yelled as treats rolled down to her cheeks.
“No mum! I won't do this! Please dad! No, I don't want to leave you both here please! No!” George pleaded with them.
“Please listen to your mother Son! We are not going to survive this! But you can! You're small, you have the advantage!” his dad yelled.
“Please mom! Please dad! "I'm begging you!” George yelled. His mom gently lifted him up and struggled to open the car window as she gently threw him out.
As George landed on the floor, he hurriedly stood up, as he watched his mom wave her hands from the window of the car. Suddenly, a big train out of nowhere crushed his parent's car.
George stood there, as tears rolled down from his eyes. He hurriedly left the scene and retired to a mechanic shop nearby.
Then a man named Harry, a mechanic and car producer, sighted him from a distance. He hurriedly rushed to him and asked curiously.
“Hey kid, what's wrong?” Mr Harry asked the poor boy.
George didn't reply, he just stood there as tears rolled down from his eyes.
“Wait a minute you survived the hurricane? I'm sorry for your loss. I understand how you feel son, come with me,” he whispered. George gently followed him. The man took George to his house, gave him food and new clothes, and asked George to follow him to his shop.
Each day, George went to his shop. He would pick up tools and fix cars by himself without being asked to do so.
When Mr. Higgs discovered that he didn't hesitate to employ George. Everyone at his mechanic shop loved George, especially customers, because of his humility and diligent spirit. This made Mr Harry very happy.
George gradually captured the attention of customers. Mr. Harry's mechanic shop is now the center of excellence when it comes to building and fixing cars.
George worked as a mechanic till he was twenty-five years of age. He swore to keep his father's legacy going no matter what.
One morning, Mr Harry came to supervise his work; he couldn't believe his eyes. George had already fixed up to ten cars and six motorcycles all by himself.
“You're doing a great job. I can't believe you fixed all these damaged cars, and the motorcycles that arrived yesterday fixed them all by myself.
You should all learn from Blackwood. He's a natural” Mr. Harry praised George.
Thanks boss! He yelled. The others stared at him enviously.
After a few minutes, more people took their damaged cars to the mechanic shop.
George gently scanned them and deciphered the problem of each of the cars.
It was like he studied cars. He was very talented and his manner of approach towards customers preceded him.
His charming voice and good looks also paved the way for him. The ladies who brought cars to the shop couldn't resist him because he was too handsome.
George worked at the mechanic shop for an extra two years, then he was let go by Mr Harry.
So, to keep his family business going, he used all his savings he got from his former job at the mechanic shop to buy a small mechanic shop where he started building cars from scratch.
He began to pick up abandoned vehicles like cars and motorcycles.
He would gently buy materials with the salary he got from his job at a restaurant and fix vehicles.
One afternoon, an old man arrived at his shop.
George became very worried this could be trouble knocking at his door. He thought to himself.
