A Night With My Bully: His Obsession, My Revenge
I slowly opened my eyes to a white ceiling.
For a moment, I thought I was in heaven. Everything was so quiet, so sterile… too clean to be real. But then it hit me the truth. The betrayal. The fake smiles. My so called family. My death.
Memories flooded in like a tidal wave.
I reached up with trembling hands to touch my face. It was wrapped in soft white cloth. Then I pressed a hand to the side of my stomach the place where I was stabbed. The pain was faint now, just a dull echo. But the wound… the scar… it was still fresh.
And then I remembered him.
The man who pulled me out of the water.
I turned my head, searching the room with wild eyes, but he wasn’t there. I’d seen him before at the restaurant. He always sat at the far corner, alone, silently watching me. I’d never spoken to him, but his gaze always left me uneasy.
And yet, he became the one who saved me.
I pushed the blanket aside and stepped onto the cold tile floor. My knees buckled, and just as I was about to fall, a strong hand grabbed me.
“You’re awake,” he said gently.
I froze.
There he was my savior.
I sat back on the bed and looked up at him. “Thank you… for saving me,” I said quietly. “But I don’t understand. You don’t even know me. Why?”
He sat down beside me. “My name is Lucien,” he said. “I… followed you when you left work that day. I didn’t mean to scare you, but something told me to keep an eye on you. I saw your unconscious body being shoved into a car. So I followed.”
I blinked, stunned.
“I’ve been watching you for a while,” he continued. “There’s something about you… You reminded me of someone I once knew. When I saw you that day, lifeless, bleeding… I couldn’t just walk away.”
I swallowed hard.
“If you don’t mind, I can help you,” he said.
I raised a hand to stop him. “No… thanks. I appreciate it. But I don’t need your help.” I stood up shakily. “I’ve been betrayed by everyone I once trusted. I don’t think I can trust anyone again.”
As I turned toward the door, his voice stopped me.
“Are you going back to the same people who tried to kill you?” he asked, his tone rising. “Are you really going to let your parents’ killers enjoy the very life they stole from you? Are you just going to disappear and let them win?”
His words hit me like bullets.
“If yes,” he said bitterly, “then I guess you’re the kindest fool I’ve ever met.”
I froze.
Tears stung my eyes.
I didn’t want to be kind. I didn’t want to be weak anymore.
“I want revenge,” I whispered, my voice cracking with emotion.
Lucien turned slowly. “Then stop acting like a scared little girl. Stand up. Take back everything they stole.”
And just like that… the fire in my chest lit up again.
My road to vengeance had begun.
7 Years Later
I stepped out of the airport, the wind brushing against my face as if trying to recognize me.
I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply.
It’s been too long.
Too damn long.
The city hadn't changed much still tall, proud, cruel.
But I had.
This was the same city that took everything from me my innocence, my dignity, my family, and my life.
Elena was gone.
Buried under pain, betrayal, and lies.
But in her place, a new woman rose fierce, powerful, reborn.
I was no longer that broken girl lying in a hospital bed.
Now, I was Selene Vale a name the fashion world worshipped. A woman who turned ashes into gold. A face no one recognized… but one they’d never forget.
And I wasn’t back for applause.
I was back to destroy the ones who destroyed me.
Let the game begin.
