Billionaire’s Baby Nanny
Tessa stood at the doorpost, appearing unkempt and fatigued as she continued to knock on the wooden door, which could easily be pulled open with a tiny mistake.
She continued to wipe sweat from her face with the hem of her fading shirt. Tessa let out a relief-filled sigh when the door was abruptly opened.
"What kept you so long, Amila? I was nearly out of patience."Tessa growls as she pushes her way inside and places her buttocks on one of the two-seater couches in the Rigid Sitting Room.
"I'm sorry, Sist; I was in the kitchen preparing something for us to eat. I know you'll be farmished when you get back."Amila explains as she carefully closes the door.
"Well, it's alright."Tessa struggles as she bends towards her sore feet and massages them.
"How was the job hunt sist?"Amila questioned as she sat on the couch, waiting for her sister's response.
Tessa said, "Hmm," and sat up straight on the couch."It's the same outcome as previous days, Amila. I won't lie to you, Mila; I'm quite confused and fatigued! Why are our lives so different from others? We have no pennies or food at home!"Her last word brought her to a standstill as she stared suspiciously at her sister.
"Did I hear you correctly earlier?" Are you preparing anything?"Tessa asks, surprised that it isn't possible. I mean, there isn't a single coin in the house to prepare a meal with.
“Yes, sist. I can't take it when you come home looking so hungry and can't get anything into your stomach."Amila explains sadly.
Tessa was pleased that her kid sister was also attempting to care for her. There was just one thing bothering her, and she needed to let it out.
“Before leaving this residence, Amila, there was no cent, and I had not eaten breakfast. How come you are making dinner? How about the money?"Tessa blurted out the frightening question.
Amila took in her lower lip and fidgeted with her fingers. How will she tell her sister? She kept looking around the ripped carpet floor.
"Cat got your tongue? Why have you been quiet, Mila?"Tessa asks, rising to her feet and peering intently at her only sibling.
"Uhm Sist, I...I.."She trailed off, unsure how to convey the situation to her sister, who is working hard to meet both of their needs. Tessa became alert right away!
Knowing the type of sister she has, she understands something is wrong.
Tessa put her hands on her shoulders, encouraging her, "You can let it all out, Mila." I am always here for you. Spill it out."
Amila felt soothed by her words, and she nodded, ready to confide in her sister.
She gulped hard before murmuring, "Daniel asked for my body in exchange for the money I requested from him." Tessa frowns as the words register in her brain.
"What!"She yelled and took her hands off Mila's shoulders. "How could you do such a thing?" Mila, I warned you! I begged you not to worry about our troubles again! Still, you handed over your dignity to a random guy?"Tessa yells, clearly hurt and tortured, and she blames herself for everything.
If she'd worked harder, her younger sister wouldn't have had to do what she did!
"I really apologise, Sister. I knew what I did was terrible, and I would not have done it if it weren't for our problems. We'd been starving for two days, and I doubted you'd come back with a penny. Just as I had anticipated, the outcome was the same as always! You returned with nothing! I had to go against my will sister, and I hope you forgive me for it."By the end, she was exhaling heavily.
Tessa couldn't stop the tears streaming down her cheeks. How could Amila accomplish such a thing?
“ I know you’ll always be against it”
"How could you, Mila! I feel you have belittled me by doing this! You believed I wasn't capable of caring for you and opted to sacrifice your dignity for a pot of food that wouldn't last us two days! I am terribly disappointed in you, Amila!"She growled bitterly, taking a few steps back.
"I sincerely apologise, sister. I assure you I did not mean it that way. Please believe me.” Amila pleads, a tear slipping from her eyes.
Tessa didn't respond to her remarks as she picked up her peeled handbag from the couch she had sat on earlier, unlocked the wooden door, and hurried out of the house into the darkness of night.
"Sister please..."Amila mutters to herself as more tears fall from her eyes. She sat uncomfortably on the floor, weeping her eyes out.
Voices could be heard arguing in the subdued blue light of the Exquisite Bedroom.
"Jerald I cannot be who you want me to be! I have a life, and agreeing to give birth to your child does not imply that I am ready to be her mother! You have to be her mother and father; do not even consider involving me in your tragedies!" Laila Scoffed on her feet, her arms wrapped around her boobs, forcing them higher.
Jerald sat on his bed, watching intently at her. He is a guy of few words, but now that his kid is involved, he can't help but say a lot more.
"What other life do you require, Laila? My daughter Dorathy and I are supposed to be your main priorities!" Jerald growls, losing his remaining patience.
"My business is my top concern, Jerald! Birthing your daughter was against my will, and she almost wrecked my lovely figure! I will be leaving your daughter behind as I leave right now! He is your daughter, and caring for her is your top priority. I'll see you another time, Jerald."She smirked and cat walked out of the room, leaving their baby on Jerald’s bed.
Jerald sighed as she leaves, then turns to face his daughter on his bed. He was not fond of newborns, which made him question whether he would be a good father to his daughter. How is that possible? He's a busy businessman, and he now has a baby to care for. Gosh!
He continued to stare at the sleeping baby, speechless. The kid looks so much like him, and he couldn't imagine himself letting his daughter go like her mother was doing just now.
After deciding to keep his baby, he took out his cell phone and dialled a number. After a period of ringing, someone picked up.
"Hello, boss."The receiver spoke from the other end.
"Clerk, I need a nanny for my son." I need input from you by 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. Am I clear?" Jerald said in a strong voice.
"Yes, Sir.I'll definitely offer you some input."The guy known as Clerk responded immediately, not wanting to keep his boss waiting because of his personality.
Jerald hung up without uttering another word, his gaze never leaving his daughter. He removed his shoes and pushed farther onto his bed. He lay at his daughter’s side, watching her sleep soundly.
