CHAPTER ONE

Jennifer smiled as little Amanda pulled her hair like crazy, wincing at the pain, she silently counted to three before laughing loudly,

effectively getting the small child's attention

"would you look at that Amanda! time's up four minutes to go and your mom will be here oh gosh , I am so happy. she loudly said to the room as if the kid would not understand her words.

Amanda laughed and clapped her hands, not knowing a thing. Don't get her wrong , she loves her all around job but sometimes dealing with kids takes a little toll on her.

Jennifer Benz is an orphan girl whose parents died at the age of 4yrs and was raised by her aunt.

Who maltreated and hated her.

She is twenty four years old, college drop out, took business administration when all she wanted to do was cook and make her own restaurant somewhere in the world, particularly in France but all she can do now is to dream when life took a hit and made her broke as a mouse.

One of her friends suggested having this online job, helps for hire.

Jennifer has a knack for taking any kind of task e.g walking with dog , tutoring, shopping. It sounds exhausting but it actually pays well, much better in fact than taking three jobs with a fixed salary.

Dora ,one of her regular clients who always scheduled a tutorial job for her, arrived in no time. cooing at her 2 yrs old baby who lights up as soon as she sees her momma. "Hi, sweetheart! a

How are you? hope you learn something new today? Dora teasingly looked at Jennifer who rolled her eyes.

" Yes, she learned new things today.

Jennifer turns to grab her things.

Okay , I have sent my payment in your account. Check it .

Thanks,Dora ,till next time.

Jennifer walked straight to her room to check her website.

Hu what is this ? A new client hey ? Jennifer excitedly opens the email which has a business letter head on top .

Dragon company? she whispered in surprise and laughed to herself and continued reading the mail .

Jennifer silently thinks if she will take it or leave.

her interest is piqued of course what job is expected from her?

she typed her reply and hiss

" Let's find out shall.

David walks around his office as he tightens his fists in annoyance. He's just twenty six years old and his whole family is on his back, pressuring him to get a bride and produce a baby as if that is as easy as going inside the store to buy stuff.

lam not going to let them ruin my life, it's time for a plan he whispered as a knock was heard .

"cone in" -------+

She has reply sir, she will meet you at lunch tomorrow,

Sarah said as she went inside the office.

David smiled in satisfaction, he know that woman would say yes. who doesn't like money, golddigger.

it's okay though, he can use the attitude to manipulate her with his wealth.

Thanks for helping me out sara..

"No problem sir .Jennifer arrived at the restaurant, looking around for Mr. Daniel Summer. She spotted a tall, suited man with a briefcase, and assumed it was him. As she approached, he looked up and smiled, standing up to greet her.

"Ms. Benz, thank you for coming," he said, extending his hand.

Jennifer shook it, feeling a bit intimidated by the formal setting. "Thank you for having me, Mr. Summer," she replied.

Daniel led her to a table, where a waiter promptly took their orders. As they waited for their food, Daniel explained the purpose of the meeting.

"Ms. Benz, we're looking for someone to...act as a bride for our client, Mr. David Loris. He's a successful businessman who's under pressure from his family to settle down and get married. We're willing to offer you a substantial sum of money to play the role of his bride for a period of two years."

Jennifer's eyes widened in surprise. "A fake marriage?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Daniel nodded. "Yes, exactly. You'll need to attend social events, meet his family, and generally play the role of a loving partner. We'll provide you with all the necessary support and guidance to ensure a smooth experience."

Jennifer thought about the offer, weighing the pros and cons. The money was certainly tempting, but she wasn't sure if she was comfortable with the idea of pretending to be someone's bride.

"What happens after two years?" she asked.

"After the two years, you'll receive a generous settlement, and Mr. Loris will provide a positive reference for your future endeavors," Daniel explained.

Jennifer hesitated, unsure of what to do. But the thought of financial security and a chance to pursue her dreams was too enticing to resist.

"Okay, I'm in," she said finally, extending her hand to seal the deal.

Daniel smiled, shaking her hand firmly. "Excellent. I'll send over the contract and details. Welcome to the team, Ms. Benz."

As Jennifer left the restaurant, she couldn't help but wonder what she had just gotten herself into.

Meanwhile, David was pacing in his office, thinking about the upcoming arrangement. He had mixed feelings about it, but he knew it was necessary to appease his family.

"David, you're doing the right thing," his assistant, Sarah, reassured him. "This will buy you time and space to focus on your business."

David nodded, hoping she was right. He just hoped that the woman he had hired would be able to play the role convincingly.
