The Unwanted Wife of Mr Villareal
"Don't you ever disobey me, Eunice! If you don't want me to send you back to your family! And take our son, Isaac, away from you, and don't you dare tell this to my parents. Remember, you ruined my life first! So I'll ruin your life too. And make it miserable as hell, you Bitch!" These are the only words my husband says that still echo in my ears every time he comes home. I never imagined being in this situation because of a one-night mistake that I don't even understand why it happened.
"Hey! You're spacing out again. Did you and Luther fight again? I told you to leave your husband for a while so you wouldn't get hurt. But all the advice and everything I tell you just goes in one ear and out the other. Ugh! You're so stubborn, Eunice!" Then Ellaine lightly flicked my ear.
"Ouch! We didn't fight, I'm just thinking about our upcoming fashion show in New York next week. And who will look after my child when we get there? You know that our models only have two days of rehearsal, and then after that, it's already the fashion show. It's that fast," I said, then gently touched both of my ears that she flicked.
"I'm sorry I ended up flicking your ear, you're just so stubborn." He said and gave me a peace sign. "It's okay, it doesn't hurt," I replied and sat down again.
"And about your child, Isaiah's nanny will take care of him because I thought about just bringing her along so that someone can look after our children while we're both busy there." She then handed me the fabrics we needed for the dresses today. I smiled at her and thanked her. "Thank you so much, Ellaine."
''You're always welcome.''
Eunice Sanchez Pov.
Ellaine and I were supposed to stay at our boutique until dawn, but Luther's dad called me and told me to pick up their son at the police station because my husband got into a fight again.
Mr. Lucas hates it when Luther gets into fights. He's a retired colonel, so he's well-respected in our area. This is the opposite of his troublemaking and mannerless son with a heart of stone.
"How long are you going to be like this? Do you really have no plans to change yourself and straighten up, Luther? Damn it! You have a wife and a child already."
Dad always nags me that have a wife and child. They're the only ones who wanted that woman because they forced me to break up with my girlfriend to marry that woman. And now they want me to change? That's not going to happen.
In frustration, I clenched my fists and looked at Dad, as if I wanted to lash out and punch anyone inside the police station because of the words he said. "Dad, I changed a long time ago since you forced me to marry that woman. So don't blame me, it's your fault why I am like this now!"
"You still made a mistake that night. What will your wife's family and the people in our town say, that I raised you to just taste women and run away when you get them pregnant? My reputation and our family's reputation are at stake because of that mistake, son, so you can't blame me for separating you and Monica and choosing for you to marry your wife. And you should be proud of your wife because she is a kind and hardworking woman, so your mom and I weren't wrong in choosing her for you."He said proudly, then drank the Starbucks coffee that Mom brought.
I just stroked my chin and smirked slightly at Dad. "Yes, your reputation as a retired colonel and the Villareal name that you hold so dear!"
"Mom, Dad, where's my husband?"
That's the voice of the woman I hate most in the world, the one my family loves the most.
"Stop calling me your husband! Because I'm not. In papers, yes! But in real life... that's a big no, no for me!" I shouted, so almost everyone inside the police station looked at us. But I don't care because everything I said to Eunice is true.
"I know, I won't forget." She said calmly to me before helping me into the car.
"Thank you, Eunice, and I apologize for my ill-mannered son."Mr. Lucas, his father, apologized. He was next to his wife, Mrs. Lucia, who immediately approached me to hug me.
"Thank you, Eunice, for not giving up on our son Luther, and for being a good mother to our grandson Isaac," Ms. Lucia whispered in my ear, which made me smile.
"No worries,"I said, then gave Luther's parents a tight smile before turning on the engine of my car and starting it.
"Good morning, Mommy!"Isaac greeted me as he ran, looking so cute in his uniform. I already emailed his teacher, Ophelia, that I'll be bringing my son to New York for our team's big fashion show there, to endorse our new clothing designs that Ellaine and I made together.
"Good morning too, son."I hugged him, then put his lunch box inside his bag.
"Good morning, son, how's your day?"My husband said to our son with a smile, then immediately approached me and kissed me on the cheek-great, what an actor in front of our son. Bravo!
So before my husband could sit next to me and put on a show of us being a happy family in front of our son, I stood up and arranged my son's things. "Let's go, Isaac, or we might be late."
And after I said that to our son, a sharp look crossed my husband Luther's eyes. But I just ignored it.
"Are you sure about this, Monica? You know he's married, so you don't stand a chance against that woman. Are you still going through with it?" My best friend Maggie asked worriedly before booking my ticket online to the Philippines.
"Yes, super sure. They're only married on paper; he doesn't love that woman. Because he only loves me."I said, and my best friend agreed.
"Okay, you said it, huh? So I won't stop you anymore. Just be careful there. And when you know you've lost, just come back here because there are still many available men who will like you because you're beautiful, remember that." Maggie said and hugged me.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Ellaine said as she placed a hot coffee on my table.
I blew on the coffee first, then stood up and looked out the window. "Yes, I'm ready for tomorrow. It's getting boring at home anyway; it's good to have a change of scenery."
"Bored, or do you just want to escape your husband?" She said as she arranged the clothes we're bringing to New York tomorrow and put them on a hanger.
"I'm just really bored at home. That's all," I said and didn't speak to Ellaine again.
