Chapter 1

Just before my wedding, I got a text from a stranger.

They threatened to tell my fiancé about an abortion I'd had unless I did what they said.

I was terrified, so I had no choice but to obey.

In the end, I discovered the person behind it was...

………………………………………………

In a month, I'm supposed to marry Fabian Walker.

I met him at the gym - he's 35, an executive at a public company, and never hesitates to spend money on me.

To win him over, I played the part of an innocent girl, always dressing modestly and acting sweet.

Fabian fell for it completely. He'd take me out to fancy dinners, shopping sprees, and shower me with designer bags and jewelry to make me happy.

While pretending to be shy about accepting his gifts, I was keeping track - he'd spent over $50,000 on me.

I knew I probably wouldn't find a better marriage prospect than him, so I kept dropping hints about wanting to get married.

Finally, Fabian proposed.

We set the wedding date for a month later.

Then, right before the wedding, I got this weird text from an unknown number.

There was a link in it. When I clicked, I saw my medical records from an abortion clinic.

I freaked out. How did they get that?!

Fabian had always said he was traditional - he wanted to marry someone who'd never been with anyone before marriage.

It happened in high school with some loser boyfriend - a mistake from almost ten years ago. That's why I never told anyone.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I texted back, panicking.

They replied quickly: "Keep quiet and do what I say, and this stays our secret. Better play nice, or you'll regret it."

I stared at the message, my stomach in knots.

If Fabian found out, the wedding would definitely be off.

For days, I could barely eat or sleep.

When Fabian took me to dinner, he noticed something was wrong. "Gloria, you look awful. Haven't you been sleeping?"

I forced a smile. "Yeah, sleep's been rough lately."

He took my hand and said softly, "Pre-wedding jitters?"

Seeing him so caring made my heart melt. "Maybe. Don't worry, I'll just take some melatonin."

Two days later, I got another message from the stranger.

"Hope you enjoyed your date. Tomorrow, go out without anything under your dress. If you don't, I'll expose your secret."

I gasped. Was this creep following me?

I was terrified.

But I couldn't risk my marriage to Fabian, so I didn't dare refuse.

But how did they know Fabian would ask me out tomorrow?
